A project using Automad CMS.
My creative design website where I showcase my 3D visualising and animation.
I am fascinated by CMS' I am always looking for a great solution to either retro fit or create a website from a CMS. Take a look at my reference list - CMS-ref - to see just how many there are, and the list is not complete.
I find Wordpress sites frustrating to work with and backup. So I am always loking at flat-file alternatives and for this project I chose Automad. I like the default look and feel of Automad so I did not have to do too much styling. The CMS is great to work with but I find the underlying tech a little too tricky to do exactly what I want. Being a designer first I often stress too much about the control of the design detail over the fundamental structure - something I am changing in my workflow - but I also do not want to not sweat the detail.
Moving forward I think I will update the site and perhaps change the CMS.
