Hello
My first note. .

Hello, I am Graham Burt and welcome to my journey to become a front end web developer. I am documenting this learning struggle to encourage me to regularly update a site and share my discoveries to help others that may be interested in working in web development.
I am a creative designer, with a degree in graphic design. I have always worked in the creative industry for design agencies, my own design agency or freelance for agencies and brand clients.
I started in design when there were no computers to aide the creative process, we had to draw everything! When the Apple Mac started to become a tool with Adobe software to enable creative design I quickly understood the affect it would have on the industry and offered to help agencies to include computers in the creative workflow.
This meant I would work within the production side of design, as initially the computers took over from typesetting and artwork, and I became a creative artworker.
So I have always used my creativity to compliment designers and translate designs to the page or screen. I feel this is a very important skill when working with creatives and clients to maintain the essences of the concept, idea, service or product that needs to be communicated via a website or social media.
I have been creating websites for many years now but I feel I cannot be considered a developer unless I can code confidently in Javascript and understand how the frameworks based on this language work.
I will let you know about my journey here and things I have discovered along the way.
Thanks for visiting!
